About

I'm James Puckett — software architect and engineering leader with 30+ years turning complex operational needs into production platforms. I've built and run systems for large enterprises, government, and service providers, and I'm now focused on internal back-office platforms that help organizations in healthcare, edtech, insurance, and similar industries run more reliably day to day.

Recent work includes AI-assisted tools such as Wingman and Alpaca, plus integration and operations platforms that cut manual work out of complex workflows. I move comfortably between architecture, product direction, and hands-on delivery in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular when the problem needs it.

Based in Hahira, GA. Open to remote principal architect, VP Engineering, and similar leadership roles on enterprise internal systems. When I'm offline, I'm usually diving or working toward my captain's license.
